Day 01 – Arrive Auckland

Welcome to New Zealand! A Tours representative will greet you at the airport with transport waiting to take you to your hotel.

Day 02 – Auckland / Bay of Islands

Cross Auckland’s Harbour Bridge and visit the Kauri Museum. Continue north to Paihia where our Maori guide, a descendant of the original settlers to the region, greets you. A self guided tour through the famous Treaty House, the Maori Meeting House and giant war canoe. (B,D)

Day 03 – Bay of Islands

Today is at your leisure. Take the time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Islands. If you want to take advantage of your time here your Coach Captain will happily assist with arranging activities for you. Why not try a full day tour to Cape Reinga, New Zealand’s northern most point and enjoy a drive along Ninety Mile Beach. Enjoy amazing views and see where the Tasman Sea collides with the Pacific Ocean. (B,D)

Day 04 – Bay of Islands / Auckland

Explore the Bay with a cruise to Cape Brett and the famous “Hole in the Rock”, located at the very northern tip of Cape Brett in the Bay of Islands. Returning to Paihia, board your coach for the journey south to Auckland city. (B,D)

Day 05 – Auckland / Whangamata

A city tour of Auckland and a visit to Skytower, at 328m the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, for superb city and harbour views, the downtown area and Waterfront Drive. Afterwards, head to the Viaduct to board a 15m yacht on Auckland Harbour, all before heading south to the Coromandel Peninsula. (B,D)

Day 06 – Coromandel Peninsula

Today, explore the Coromandel region with Kiwi Dundee Adventures. Enjoy the flora & fauna of the semi-tropical rainforest with giant ferns, Kauri trees and crystal clear streams. Visit the historic gold caves sparkling with glowworms and hear the fascinating history of this magic area. Visit stunning coastal scenery with white sand beaches and magnificent cliffs decorated with ancient Pohutukawa trees. (B,D)

Day 07 – Whangamata / Rotorua

Today starts with the Agrodome Sheep Show, one of New Zealand’s most loved tourist atractions, then a Gondola ride to the top at Skyline Skyride for superb views over the region. Explore Rainbow Springs Wildlife Park, a truly unique experience, set in 22 acres of beautiful native trees and streams and home to a huge variety of New Zealand’s most precious inhabitants. Spot native birds and animals including the Kiwi. This evening enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi feast & concert featuring Maori songs, chants and the stirring haka (entire group). (B,D)

Day 08 – Rotorua / Turangi

From Rotorua we head south to the Wairakei Geothermal Valley, visiting the powerful Huka Falls, before arriving at Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake. (B,D)

Day 09 – Turangi / Wellington

As you travel south the volcanic mountains – Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe dominate the view. Enjoy the scenery as you continue on, heading over the Rimutaka’s before reaching Wellington. A city tour includes Mount Victoria, the Houses of Parliament, Wellington Cathedral and Oriental Bay, with time afterwards to explore the city as well as Te Papa, the Museum of New Zealand, set in a breathtaking location on Wellington’s waterfront. Day 10 – Wellington / Home

Today is goodbye to all your new found friends before you make your homeward journey. You will be transferred to Wellington Airport to join your flight home. (B)
