Day 01 – Airport / Negombo

At (TBA) Arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Meet & assist by our local representative & transfer to Negombo, A characteristic fishing town 6Kms from the International airport, Negombo has a fascinating and picturesque beachfront. The town has several buildings dating back to the Dutch & Portuguese Colonial days. Also client may enjoy some nice sea foods lobsters, crabs, prawns and etc.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Negombo – Jetwing Blue Hotel 4.5-Stars

Day 02 – Negombo / Anuradhapura

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Anuradhapura, a part of the cultural triangle which compromises Buddhism and apart of its origins. This location also consists of Royal and religious structures such as the Lowamahapeya, Kalaweva, Sri Mahabodhi, Mihintale and many more structures.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Anuradhapura – Heritage Hotel 3-Stars

Day 03 – Anuradhapura / Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Habarana

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Polonnaruwa via Sigiriya, the remains of the Royal Citadel council chamber, prince’s bathing pool and the Gal Vihare, a stone temple with its colossal sculptures of the Buddha in a quiet grove of trees as well as the still functioning Parakrama Samudra, a man made reservoir, large than our Colombo harbour, are on easy distance from each other. The new museum has an excellent scale model of the ancient city as it was. In Sigiriya, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress of the 5th century King Kassapa.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Habarana – Chaaya Village Hotel 3.5-Stars

Day 04 – Habarana / Dambulla / Kandy

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Dambulla is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings found here are over 2,000 years old and is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.

After lunch proceed to Kandy. In Kandy you can do a city tour to the focal point of the town is the goldenroofed ‘Dalada Maligawa’, where the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined. There are numerous shrines and temples in and around Kandy, Also, see the Kandy Lake and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

Day 05 – Kandy / Bandarawela / Nuwara Eliya

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Bandarawela via Nuwara Eliya, The main heritage sites in and around Badulla are ancient Muthiyangana (Buddhist) temple, Dhowa Temple, Bogoda ancient wooded bridge and Buddhist temple. The Muthiyangana temple is located in one end of the Badulla town, Dhowa ancient temple is located by Badulla-Bandarawela road whereas Bogoda wooden bridge and temple is close to Hali-ela town. Ancient Rawana Buddhist temples also famous among the tourists who visit Rawana water fall in Ella.

Dhowa rock Temple is one of the heritage sites in Sri Lanka, situated in central mountain of Uva province. Dhowa is small ancient village which is situated on Badulla, Bandarawela main road. This Temple is situated 210 km east of Colombo and 120 km south of Kandy. It is 8 km from the town of Bandarawela. The Dowa rock temple could be considered as a Mahayana Sculpture with a huge unfinished Buddha image carved into the rock face. The temple dates back to Before Christ times. It has been built safely inside a ring of mountains. A beautiful river is flown across the plateau. Hence, It is believed, the area had earned the
name, Dowa.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Nuwara Eliya – Grand Hotel 4-Stars

Day 06 – Nuwara Eliya / Tissamaharama / Yala

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Tissamaharama, Tissa Maha Dagoba – The Tissa Maha Dagoba, which means the Great Stupa of Tissa, was built during the 3rd century BC by King Kavantissa. It is found near the town center. During that time, this was the largest stupa on the island. It measures more than 55 meters high and 165 meters in circumference.

Sandagiri Dagoba – Connected to the remains of an old temple complex, the Sandagiri Dagoba provides visitors an insight of how these structures were built during the first few centuries. This stupa was originally built during the 2nd century by King Kavantissa. However, it failed the test of time and the power of nature. Today, the current stupa standing is a restored version of the original stupa.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Yala – Chaaya Wild Hotel 4-Stars

Day 07 – Yala / Tangalle / Hambantota

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Tangalle, visit the Mulkirigala Buddhist temples – An exhausting climb up hundreds of steps is not everybody’s idea of a relaxing day out nonetheless; your effort will be well rewarded, as you take in the large reclining Buddha and smaller statues taking shelter in a series of caves. Mulkirigala’s wall paintings which depict sinners paying for their sins with a tortuous afterlife provide a fascinating insight to Lord Buddha’s teachings. Upon reaching the rock summit there is a small Dagoba, and, what little breath you have left after your climb will be taken away by magnificent views of surrounding scenery.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Hambantota – Peacock Beach Hotel 3-Stars

Day 08 – Hambantota / Galle

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Galle, Weduwa Monastery Kogalla. The Weduwa cloister is a monastery of the Theravada tradition on the south coast of Sri Lanka, only few minutes away from the beach and the sea. The clean compound is built around the Kogalla Lake. With the view on bluish gray lake you can meditate fantastically. There is very peaceful atmosphere in the air. Approx. 20 monks – from young to old – live in this monastery. Here the possibility is offered to experience a very authentic stay in a Buddhist monastery with the forest monks of Sri Lanka. The Weduwa monastery is suited for people who have been already engaged with Buddhism and meditation and to whom heat and mosquitoes do not matter!

Dinner & Overnight stay – Galle – Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel 5-Stars

Day 09 – Galle / kelaniya / Colombo

At 7:00 a.m. After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Colombo, enroute visit the Buddhist temple at kelaniya, Gangarama Temple, Hindu Temple, Museum, Galle Face Green, Independence Square. The Fort, in the very centre of the city, is where most of the colonial remnants mainly from the British era are to be found.

Nearby Pettah is Colombo’s busiest and most traditional bazaar, mosaic of human activities.

Dinner & Overnight stay – Colombo – Galle Face Hotel 3.5-Stars

Day 10 – Colombo / Airport

At (TBA) and early breakfast, and experiencing an exotic holiday in this paradise isle, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for the Departure.
